Nate Seubert has merged his highly tuned senses of color and composition to create a world where human forms drenched in luminous color dwell in a place where man's interpretation of reality and non-reality meld. His images have been described as "an impressive collection of work that delivers a fervent wallop and message about man's relation to self, truth, sex, technology the world, and each other", eliciting a strong reaction from the viewer that is hard to ignore.
Born in 1973, Nate has been painting for more than half of his life. He's been making pictures of one kind or another for even longer. He graduated from the painting program at Syracuse University's College of Visual and Performing Arts in 1995, after studying under the incomparable Jerome Witkin.
The artwork of Nate Seubert is held in many private and corporate collections across the United States. His work has also been published in magazines and newspapers around the nation. Several of his pieces have been used for sleeve designs for records and compact discs by various musical groups.
Nate's preferred medium is oil paint, although he has been known to work with charcoal, pencil, chalk, pen and ink, watercolor, gouache, airbrush, acrylic, digital... most anything that could be useful in creating images.
